Coming improvements
Campaign 2008
This year the CSTA is fortunate to have a donation to help us. This was presented by local resident who wishes to remain anonymous.
The donation will will bring new, modern, handicap access
restrooms for both women and men on the main floor. For those visiting the Kent
Theatre this will mean more stalls and less waiting in lines. No more cramped,
tiny, spaces. Ladies will enjoy the fact that they no longer have to climb to
the second floor. The biggest change will be that the new bathrooms will
accommodate those who can’t use stairs or are in wheelchairs.
With donations to date we are at just over 25% of what is needed to do this project, which will greatly benefit the entire community and make the Kent Theatre an even more desirable destination.
We need your help to reach these goals. You can donate any amount you wish. As a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, your donation is tax deductible. The Kent Theatre is managed, maintained, and overseen by all volunteers. Every dollar you donate goes to the Kent.
Please mail your donation to: Cedar Springs Theatre Association, PO Box 237K, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. Make your check or money order out to C.S.T.A. You can help make this project a reality Thank you for your support
Sold out event at the Kent Theatre
We recently had a Blue Grass Extravaganza in partnership with the West Michigan Blue Grass Association. We sold the house out to capacity and had to turn away at least 50 people. The Bands were Lonesome Journey, Missy Kay and A' Mess A Bluegrass & Black Canyon. What a night it was, after they finish there set they had open jamming in various areas of the theatre, after that some of the players moved down to the Cedar Pub for more playing. A very good time was had by one and all. For those of you who missed it take heart they will be coming back for another event this summer.
To all of those that helped make this happen from both organizations you have our greatest thanks.
Volunteers
You can volunteer to help out at any time.
We are planning movies, band nights, and need concession workers for plays and
other events. Let us know when you’re available.
